RTCM Paper 71-95/SC112-STD, Recommended Standards for Marine Radar Equipment Installed on Ships of Less than 300 Tons Gross Tonnage, Version 1.1

This RTCM Standard applies generally to ships of less than 300 tons gross tonnage. It should be noted, however, that it does not apply after February 1, 1995 to passenger ships subject to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), 1974, as amended, unless prescribed by national regulations under the exemption authority of the SOLAS Convention.

RTCM considers this standard obsolete, but it is still incorporated in U.S. Coast Guard regulations for towing vessels at 33 CFR 164.72.
